This weekend I bought a new bag for work. The handles of my old bag were beginning to tear off and I needed to replace it with something sturdy and professional. There was no guilt because it was an actual need.
Lately I have been on a serious decluttering craze. Since I've been removing so much dead weight from my life this purchase was actually welcomed into my space. By getting rid of the old, I am making room and opening myself up to the changes and new direction I want my life to move in.
I'm not trying to advocate spending money, but rather living with the idea that less really is more. Getting rid of all the excess in my life has made my needs so much clearer. Whether it's something for work or something for my pantry I finally feel good about the purchases I am making, because I know it's something I truly need.
