October Financial Update

Time for the ol' update.

For the month of October:

$1194.18 total I paid towards my student loans.

                   $944.12 Minimum Loan Payments
                   $250.06 Snowball Payment to #3

                   $458.06 Amount to Interest (38.4%)
                   $736.12 Amount to Principal (61.6%)

                   Percentage of Principal Paid (0.62%)

I was feeling a little cheeky this month, so when I made my snowball payment, I also paid a penny towards each of my other loans with that company.  He he he.

Well, I know one thing I didn't do this month was reduce my medical spending.  There are just so many appointments, with so many different doctors.  I am very thankful to be working with a terrific team of doctors, but these appointments are really draining me, in more ways than one!

This month I was hoping to pay at least $500 towards my loans, but that fell pretty short.  Even the the $250 snowball was kind of a stretch.  Ideally, I should be waiting until my next pay day before I make this additional payment, but if I make payments on the next billing cycle it messes up the automatic payments I have set up.  It's not ideal, but I  just try to budget carefully. :)

Onward and Upward,
Snowball
